Over 100 of the world’s best skiers took part in the World Championship races with qualifying for the PyeongChang Korean 2018 Paralympic Winter Games at the centre of the racers minds.
The team at Foot Science International have been helping Adam for many years to be able to enjoy his passion of racing slalom. Having been born with a physical disability, resulting in very limited control from his hips/knees down, and no feeling in his feet, it is important Adam has the best support for his feet, knees and hips. Adam walks with Ankle Foot Orthotics otherwise known as "AFO" – Foot Science International's Founder, David Boyd worked with Dynamic Composites to design Adam’s AFO’s and incorporated Formthotics into them.
Adam is getting fitting for his 2016-2017 year of Alpine Skiing equipment. David Boyd, founder of Formthotics is keen to make this a great fit!
With the way in which Adam's body is aligned and moves, Formthotics have had a positive effect. 'Formthotics have been extraordinary in many ways – but in the simplest of terms, helping support my knees and hips has hugely influenced my ability to stay at the top of my game as a paralympic athlete.' Adam has been skiing in the Paralympics for 14 years and is still amongst the top in the world.
