Scott Jennings, Production Manager at Foot Science International has been with the company for 25 years. We put our feet up (for two minutes) and discuss Formthotics™ in the workplace – a product he knows from the inside out, quite literally.
Scott is at the forefront of the very active Formthotics production line, from foam to footbed. He is on his feet daily and for long periods of time. This means standing and moving around solid, concrete surfaces regularly (from the factory floor to the loading bay), which can be tiring for his feet.
To help, Scott wears Formthotics in his work boots. It’s a simple solution, he says.
‘Anyone can turn their uncomfortable work boots into the most comfortable shoes they own.’
‘Formthotics reduce shock in demanding roles and workplace environments with reliable cushioning support and stability. It’s a win-win situation for everyone – the factory staff (including myself) and the company. Without exhausting or jeopardising the health of our feet, our production output, employee health and safety is at optimum standard.’
Formthotics are worn by all members of the team Scott oversees. They are lightweight, durable, antimicrobial and waterproof which ensures each foot is well looked after.
‘The coldness that can come with bad circulation is also alleviated. Keeping my feet warm is important to stay upbeat and focused on the job at hand.’
Needing plenty of energy after work hours, Scott is also a national level motorcross rider (top 3 in his age group) and is no stranger to injuries.
‘I don’t wear Formthotics just for comfort. With a number of lower limb injuries, the support they provide my joints and muscles is ideal. I can easily take on the requirements of my busy role without the distraction of sore, tired legs and feet,’ Scott says.
In a nutshell, when the going gets tough, the tough get comfortable!
